FAQ

“Is it safe to ship a diamond ring?”

Yes. We insure all diamonds and jewellery at our own expense until it is signed for at your door. If somehow the worst happens and your package is lost or damaged, it won’t cost you a cent.

“What is a temporary setting?”

A temporary setting is a ring designed to showcase your loose diamond; it is made from non-precious metal and is not suitable to wear.

“How long will my custom order take?”

Custom orders take approximately 10-15 days to complete.

“Which precious metal should I choose?”

Our best-selling metal is platinum, but the ‘right’ metal is very much a matter of personal taste. If buying for your fiancée, take a good look at what her other jewellery is made of. If you notice that she tends to buy yellow gold when shopping for herself, yellow gold is probably a safe choice!

“How much should I plan to spend?”

Again, this depends very much on personal taste and circumstances, but it might help to know that our customers’ average spend is between NZ$5,000 and NZ$7,000.

“What is the most popular design?”

Our most popular engagement ring is a diamond solitaire in four or six claws, with or without shoulder diamonds.

“Can you guarantee my ring will be ready by a certain date?”

Yes. Bearing in mind that a custom design takes approximately 10-15 days to make, we can guarantee to have it ready by an agreed-upon date.

“How will I know the size is correct?”

If you are buying the ring as a surprise, we can help you determine your fiancée’s finger size – call us on 0800 888 757 for more information or visit us in store at 280 Queen Street, Auckland. Otherwise, click here for more online tips to find a ring size. If the finished ring doesn’t fit, we offer a complimentary first resizing.

“How is my diamond or jewellery shipped?”

In New Zealand your purchase is sent by Courier Post. The package will require a signature upon delivery. These requirements are for your security.

For overseas orders we send by Federal Express. Signature will be required upon delivery.

“How much does shipping cost?”

In New Zealand your shipping is free.

For overseas orders your shipping cost will depend upon the country the goods are being shipped to.

“How does my unset diamond arrive?”

Your unset diamond is sent in a loose diamond holder known as a Temporary Setting. This holder can be placed on your lady’s finger when you propose. Please note, this Temporary Setting is merely to display the unset stone and is not intended to be worn. No liability will be accepted for the diamond if the loose diamond holder has been worn as a ring. Learn More

“What is your returns policy?”

We offer a 30 day no cost return policy. To be eligible for return, all items must be in their original purchase condition and all original purchase documentation must be returned. The returns policy does not apply to overseas purchases.
